Ryoko Asakura (朝倉 涼子 Asakura Ryōko)

At first, Asakura appears as a compassionate and hard-working high school girl.  One of Kyon 's friends,  Taniguchi, placed it on its list of freshman girls grade A++, indicative of his athleticism, beauty and personality.  His enormous popularity led her to be elected class president of Kyon . Also expressed concern about the alienation of Haruhi rest of the class.

But then proves to be another human interface that served to support Yuki.  Like her, Asakura has difficulty empathizing with humans, but unlike Nagato, Ryoko has exceptional social skills for your condition.  Initially cheerfully supports Kyon of Haruhi relate to open the class, and observe their reactions.  However, when Haruhi brings up the missing person would be interesting for her, Asakura has the idea to kill Kyon, the most important person to Haruhi, and this causes a greater reaction from the girl.  After locking in an empty class Kyon tries to stab him with a combat knife, but is stopped by Yuki Nagato, the disabled and sent out of the physical world.  Interestingly, Ryoko friendly personality did not change in the least when he announced he was going to kill Kyon, nor when it was disabled.

In an interview with the author, it is suggested that Asakura does not understand the concept and implications of death, both of Kyon same as yours, so that, ultimately, his decision to kill Kyon is based more on pure logic to predict a reaction Suzumiya in bloodlust.  Ryoko is often mistakenly called yandere by fans considering his drastic ations and not the motivations behind them. After deactivation, Yuki invents a cover to conceal his absence, saying he had gone to Canada.  In addition, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya,  Asakura makes an appearance in a parallel timeline in which Haruhi never went to North School and formed the SOS Brigade. In this line, is the best friend of Yuki Nagato.

Asakura appears in a chibi form in the spin- off "The Melancholy of Haruhi -chan Suzumiya", which appears as Ryoko Asakura series.  After a ( Failed) attempted resurrection (which let the size of a basketball), Ryoko is found by Yuki, who takes her to his apartment, where he meets functions laundry and cooking (although helped by Yuki, by her small size).  However, this does not prevent the subject of various jokes Yuki.  Eventually, however, end up getting used to that life.  Another spin- off "Nyoron Churuya -san" series,  Asakura appears again in his chibi form, this time in love with Kyon, who tries to confess his feelings (always ending in failure).
